There are more and more young women smoking in Queensland. This is a concern to many young women, their families and friends, as well as a range of health professionals.
The campaign is in response to this trend and is based on feedback from many young women who smoke, who wanted to quit, but couldn’t see themselves doing it.
The campaign aims to show young women that it can be done, and provide information and support to help them quit.
It reaches young women in Queensland through television, radio, outdoor and print advertising. Also a website and dogtag jewellery item were developed. All proceeds from the sale of dogtags will go to Youngcare, a charity that helps young people.
